Texas Arts & Commerce Association is a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting and promoting classic arts, art education, performing arts, and all forms of creative expression as well as protecting the rights of business owners and the right to transact business. Our mission is to nurture a vibrant and inclusive arts community in Texas, preserving cultural heritage while fostering innovation while preserving and protecting economic growth.
To achieve this mission, Texas Arts and Commerce will have a primary objective to produce fundraisers which support political candidates and individuals, as a third party, who share the same views that protect the arts and protect businesses.
Texas has been at the forefront of the various culture wars targeting the LGBT+ community. In recent years, Neo-Nazi protesters have gathered at gay-friendly establishments such as bars, restaurants, and even churches to exclaim hate and threaten members of our community in an attempt to intimidate us.
We will not let their scare tactics disrupt our community of love. We will work to create a better and safer community so that everyone can live as who they are in peace. Our goal is to create a Public Improvement District for the Oak Lawn neighborhood of Dallas, so that we can provide the largest gayborhood in Texas with access to the funds we need to better protect ourselves. By creating a PID, Oak Lawn will be granted a variety of resources such as improved security, better landscaping and lighting, street cleaning, and a host of other supplemental activities to improve our neighborhood.
